Making Furniture Fun

CORT, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, is the nation’s leading provider of transition services, including furniture rental for home and office, event furnishings, destination services, apartment locating, touring and other services.

Have you ever seen the red CORT truck traveling around your city? I bet you have, and you had no idea it was delivering furniture to folks – furniture they had RENTED. What? You can do that? Why yes, you can – businesses and regular people alike can rent instead of buy, nice, stylish furniture. It’s a great idea, and one more people and businesses need to know about. So, in lockstep with all of the other marketing activities of the company, CORT called INK.

INK runs CORT’s social media presence. And when I say runs, I mean it. We draw up the campaign plans to support the company’s marketing objectives, we recommend channel selection, tone, content, and promotion, we create content people engage with (check out our Instagram page, it’s our fave), and we report back on the value CORT gets out of all of this digital work.

We also evolve the program because we know content moves fast online, and what was engaging yesterday may not be so today. Quick iteration, and testing new ideas, is an important aspect of a successful social media program.

We’re entering our third year of work with this national consumer brand and have grown the company’s online network 85%. We’re layering on additional content strategies (creation and distribution) this year in an effort to surpass 1M in network size. I have no doubt we’ll get there. It’s going to be a big year.
